Salted ricotta with chili pepper

The salted ricotta with chili pepper is a typical Sicilian product, a dairy product made from milk and sheep’s milk whey, and later subjected to salting, drying and a short aging time. Red chili pepper is added to the mold at the time of harvesting, together with the other ingredients. Once ready, it will give the salted ricotta a pleasant spicy note. With its compact texture and savory taste, the salted ricotta with chili lends itself excellently to grating.

Ingredients: pasteurized sheep’s MILK whey, pasteurized MILK whey, pasteurized sheep’s MILK, chili pepper (1%) and salt (the type of milk and whey is subject to variations depending on seasonal availability of raw materials).
